Investor’s Behavior and Postal Investments-a Study with special reference to Dharwad District.

There are a lot of investment choices and one must select the most appropriate one. The person dealing with the planning needs to know all the various choices and how these can be chosen for the purpose of attaining the overall objectives. The details of making the investment along with the various ways in which the investment has to be maintained and managed. The developing countries like India face the enormous task of finding sufficient capital in their development efforts. Most of these countries find it difficult to get out of the vicious circle of poverty of the low income group, low savings, low investment, low employment etc.

                The study reveals that majority of individual investors have an investment size between Rs.22, 501-30,000.Individual investors motivational factor for investment in postal is to meet domestic purpose and to be secure at old age and their prefer regular and safety, local assess ability and easy manageability. Length of investment is between 6-11 years. The study suggests that investor education is the need of the hour. The central government and state government should spread saving and investment habit by making foolproof safety mechanism. Government must create more awareness among the rural and urban people about the postal investment schemes and the benefits availed through it as it has not reached the people properly.
