A Study of Income Activity Of Selected Agricultural Produce Marketing Committees (APMCS) Of Hyderabad-Karnataka Region
Agriculture is the backbone of Indian economy. It is one of the major sectors of Indian economy known as primary market. Agricultural Marketing is the study of all the activities, agencies and policies included in the procurement of farm inputs by the farmers and the movement of agricultural products from the farmers to the consumers. Profit or loss of APMCs depends upon the revenue earn by the APMC, that is depends on arrival of agricultural produce in market yard. APMCsÂ hasÂ variousÂ sourcesÂ ofÂ revenueÂ incomeÂ suchÂ asÂ marketÂ fees,Â licenseÂ fees,Â rentÂ income,Â interest receivedÂ etc. The quality, quantity and regularity of flow of revenue income govern are physical existence and internal condition of the organization. The Revenue income of APMCs includes market fees, license fees, rent income, transfer fees, income from interest and other sources such as penalty, late fees, tender fees, water charges etc. An attempt has been made in this paper to study of income activity and analyse total revenue of selected agricultural produce marketing committees (APMCs) of Hyderabad-Karnataka region.
