X-ray diffraction studies of Co doped Cu Ferrites
A series of Cu-Co ferrite based bulk particles (Cu (1-x) Co(x) Fe2O4) in which x is varied from 0.0 to 0.6 were prepared by Solid State reaction route. The influence of the Co content on the structural properties of cubic Nickel ferrites (CuFe2O4) was investigated using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis reveals that the samples are polycrystalline single-phase cubic spinel in structure excluding the presence of any secondary phase corresponding to any structure. Rietveld refined X-ray diffraction pattern also confirmed the formation of single-phase and both of the samples perfectly indexed in cubic spinel structure with Fd3m space group. Slight reduction in the lattice parameter of Co doped CuFe2O4 has been observed as compared to the parent CuFe2O4.
