Emergence of Activity-Based Approach

The future of a country depends on its education system and every education system aimed at to develop its nationals in a way through which they can survive in any condition and lead a healthy life. Recently education system of India started giving more importance on learner friendly curriculum and thereby started giving more importance on activity based approach. In an education system, teachers are playing an important role. Teachers are responsible for maintaining and creating an effective learning environment and thereby achieve its instructional goals (Küçüker (Tunçer), (2004). The authors started reviewing different papers in order to understand the history of activity based approach. During the review process the authors became aware with the fact that no one discuss clearly about the history of activity based approach. So in this paper the authors aimed at to give a brief idea about the history of activity based approach in the context of India. Secondary sources were used for this study and it is purely a qualitative research where content analysis and meta-analysis were used in this study.
