Understanding Social Media Structure and Dissemination of Cultural Heritage Knowledge
The objective of this paper is to review the pertinent literature to illustrate the different functions and implications of social media for dissemination of cultural heritage knowledge. This paper outlines and discussed previous investigation on social media blocks and covers common social media tools that create a prospect to discover, manage and share unique skills and knowledge. The primary and secondary functionality of common social media are discussed, that will enable information centers to identify and select the best suitable social media site for disseminating cultural heritage knowledge. Social media can be extensively used for sharing, marketing and dissemination of cultural heritage knowledge. Also suggest information centers on how to select appropriate social media considering the requirement of the parent organization.
