An investigation on the interrelation between teachers' viewpoint on mathematics and learners' mathematics accomplishment in high and higher secondary schools in hilly district of Assam.

Abstract

The present examination focuses on the connection between educators' disposition and learner' mathematics accomplishment is high schools of hilly area of Assam. We are adopting descriptive survey design in the study. A sum of 1240 students of 48 high schools situated in a tribal people dominated hilly district of Assam is selected for the study. Forty eight (48) mathematics teachers are interviewed from the respective schools. Two research instruments (questionnaires) are employed for data gathering. The collected data are analysed using simple frequency and percentage method. The consequences of the investigation uncovered that there is a solid positive connection between teachers' attitude regarding mathematics teaching and the scholarly accomplishment of the pupils in mathematics.
