Evaluation of Fertilizers and Pesticides in Environmental Areas

Abstract

Agriculture development contains to remain the most important objective of Indian planning and policy. Fertilizers and pesticides have happen to an significant tool as a plant  defense and  for increasing crop  yield. Their use can be detected in all area of the environment (air, water and soil) in rural area. The data regarding to the distribution of pesticides and fertilizers in rural areas of environment various sampling methods are used for check the quality of air, water & soil in rural area. Water parameters (pH, EC, Ca, Mg, Na, K, CO3, HCO3  and CL) are check for analysis of fertilizer residue in water and Soil parameter (pH, EC, N, P2O5, K2O, S, Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn , Organic Carbon and Gypsum) are check for analysis of fertilizer residue in soil. There are various analytical methods for detection of pesticides in environmental  sample  like  Gas  chromatography (GC), Gas   chromatography   mass   spectroscopy   (GC-MS), Liquid Chromatography (LC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography-(HPLC), Spectrophotometer. Also modified AOAC method and QUECHERS method are use for investigation of pesticides remains in soil and water. Methods and Parameters checks are depend on use of types of fertilizer and pesticides.
